The Quiz

THE QUIZ!

So this past week my mother had brain surgery in Michigan so I've been a bit detained and not able to do much from the hospital. I'm so happy to report that she is on the mend:) and finally at home recovering. So after giving this some thought on my delayed plane ride home today - we are going to do this a bit differently than a normal quiz. I would like for you to include an experience report in your journal that deals with an art object or music and or theatre that was made during the period of these last chapters that we covered. Please situate the work in the history of period of art and culture that it was made i.e. if I was to discuss Napoleon's National Portrait (him on the rather large bucking horse). I would talk about his evil plan to take over the world, why he was painted this way, what belief did it counter act or buy into and possibly where it was originally meant to be hung. I would also discuss how is this different to how you view it now? So you will have three experience reports to be included in your journal, not just two...this third will be graded and factored into your quiz grade (which could help boost some of you up). Remember to study for the music test. This will be matching and you will be provided with the author name, work title and year to match up with the song. Don't forget to check back here for travel tips and places to check out while you are planning your free time.

Class tonight! Monday Nov. 28th

I know it is snowing but we will be having class tonight at 6 pm. We will try and get you all out of there as soon as possible to get you safely home. Take care on the roads and see you in a bit.

FINAL DAY OF CLASS

Hey guys,

So be prepared for a final quiz covering the chapters we covered in last class and reading in the book 17, 18 and 21. Don't forget that you will have a matching quiz over the music test so be sure to recognize composer and song if you hear it. I will be playing the selection to you and then you will match them with the appropriate title and composer. Just one last push to the end guys! Don't forget to keep checking back on the blog for travel tips, journal tips and things to check out while you are in specific cities. See you tonight at 6 pm in the A72 again.
